Fridays Fave Five

1. New Quilt. A friend gifted me this beautiful quilt to cuddle with this winter. It matches my living room perfectly.

2. Good report. I saw my oncologist last Friday and she thinks I am recovering well from chemo. She is hopeful that most of the damage done will heal itself. The only doubtful thing is the neuropathy in my feet. But it too seems to be getting better.

3. Caring Friends. All the ladies from my Bible study (100+) formed a human chain to pray for me as I enter this last stage of treatment, radiation therapy.

4. New Treatment Plan. I started radiation on Thursday and the way I understand it, I have 30 sessions. So 2 down, 28 to go :) Right now I go in at 8am every morning, five days a week. I'll be posting about that later.

5. Shopping in San Francisco. The city is starting to look a bit like Christmas. Lots of pretty things to see but no crowds yet. Perfect fall weather.

Great fives this week, Brenda! I hope your treatment goes well and that any side effects aren't too taxing on you. I was at the Petsmart recently and saw Lugo's twin. He was the most bouncy kitten there, playing his little heart out, leaping over other cats. His markings are almost identical to Lugo's.

I´m so glad you have such a great support group of women at your church! Prayer can bond together.
I really miss the Christmas shopping in a big city! Seems like I can´t get away this year to do it in Asu.
I´m glad you get to have this pleasure this year!

Sounds like a good report. How encouraging. And quilt-what a love gift that is. I am trusting you are feeling better and anticipating better days soon.

Thanks for stopping by my site and leaving a comment. I am not a big hamburger eater but last night it hit the spot. We ate at Red Robin for my birthday and split a sundae. We brought home enough of our burgers to make another meal!! It was great both times.

Treat yourself to a new crisp white blouse. You can't go wrong with one! I got one from COldwater Creek with 3/4 sleeves and no iron. I love it. And I have one from Chico that I love too. You can order both online and have them dropped at your door. How cool is that!!! Take care and rest well. Blessings.

Lovely quilt! And lovely kitty photo! I am amazed at your stamina with the radiation treatments being every week day. Praying you will have strength for the weeks ahead. Someone close to me has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Reading your stories here is helping me understand what to expect.

great week Brenda. I love the colors on the quilt.
That is a lot of women praying and we all know the power of prayer. That is just so wonderful.

p.s you asked me what I consider as cool weather, well it would have to be like your early fall in some parts of california. Right now in thailand the Thai's say this is their winter. Which of course to those of you who see and know snow and cold weather would consider this time of the year in Thailand as just perfect. Not too cold and not too hot.
Happy weekend.
